What is About Section?

Your profile's free-text summary, up to 2,600 characters, where you tell the full story of who you are and what you offer.

The About section is the free-text summary near the top of your profile, with room for up to 2,600 characters. Only the first few lines show before the see more cut, so the opening has to earn the expansion exactly like a post hook does. It is the one place on the profile where you control the narrative fully: who you are, who you help, what you have actually done, and what a reader should do next. Write it in first person, keep paragraphs short, and carry the argument with proof, meaning real projects, employers, and outcomes rather than adjectives. The text is also indexed for search, so the skills and terms people would look for belong in it naturally, never as a keyword dump. End with a plain call to action such as how to contact you. The about section guide covers structures that work, and the about generator drafts a starting version you can sharpen.
