Connection request templates: after a webinar

You attended a webinar and want to connect with the host, a speaker, or a fellow attendee who asked good questions.

Straightforward · 170/300 characters
Hi [Name], I attended your webinar on [topic] today. The section on [point] answered a question I had been stuck on for weeks. Connecting so I catch your future sessions.
Warm · 175/300 characters
Hi [Name], thank you for the webinar on [topic]. I took more notes in that one hour than in most full-day trainings. I would be glad to keep learning from what you share here.
Brief · 81/300 characters
Hi [Name], enjoyed your webinar on [topic] today. Connecting to follow your work.

Before you send

  • Reference one specific point, not just the webinar title.
  • Connect the same day, while the attendee list is still fresh in their mind.
  • If you asked a question during the session, mention it, hosts remember askers.

Replace every [bracketed part] with the real detail, and if the note claims you read something, read it first. The 300-character limit counts everything; the counts above already include the brackets.

For a specific person, the writer drafts three registers from who they actually are and your honest reason. Templates generalize; the writer personalizes.
